映画のTrailerをディクテーションしてみる 『ミッション: 8ミニッツ』（原題: Source Code）

映画の予告編（Trailer）を観るのが大好きです。本編が益々観たくなりますね。私はオリジナルのTrailerを字幕なしで理解できたら楽しいだろうなと常日頃思っていました。もちろん本編が全て字幕なしで理解できれば申し分ないのですが、さすがにそれは無理。超字幕などを購入すればスクリプトが確認できますが、本編だとボリュームが大きすぎる、費用もかかる。せめてお目当てのTrailerだけのスクリプトがあればと思って探していたところFunky Englishに出会いました。まだ限られた作品だけですが、お目当てのものが見つかれば、スクリプトが確認できます。あ～なるほどこういう台詞だったんだと納得です。

This movie is a science fiction thriller directed by Duncan Jones.
Although this movie was in low budget way (the CG is not so special), I had some fun delving into the mysteries though the story.
It's quite an interesting parallel universe and/or time travel based story with a bit of a twist at the end.
However this movie suffers from Hollywood-ending syndrome, I didn't understand the ending at first.  I finally found out the meaning through some spoilers and internet posts.  Overall, it was more interesting than I expected.

この映画はダンカン・ジョーンズ監督のSFスリラーです。低予算ながらも（CGはどってことない）謎解きを楽しめました。最後にちょっとしたオチがあって同時並行の空間と（または）タイムトラベルを題材としており面白く仕上がっています。しかし、ハリウッド映画お決まりのエンディングは否めません。最初は最後のオチがわからなかったのですが、ネタばれや他のサイトなどで調べてようやく判りました。総じて思ったより面白かったです。

New Year's Eve ニューイヤーズイヴ（2011）

If you like "Valentine's Day (2010)" or "Love Actually (2003)", you will enjoy this movie.  This is a romantic comedy film directed by Garry Marshall.  He directed "Valentine's Day" in 2003.  So, it's like a sequel to Valentine's Day.  But more specifically, it's not.
The movie tells the stories of eight couples on New Year's Eve in New York City.
Parallel stories on New Year's Eve ensue, but all revolved around the annual midnight ball drop in Times Square with accompanying scenes leading up to the event.
I preferred the story of Ingrid (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Paul (Zac Efron).
Ingrid is a 50-something personal assistant who works for Ahron Records.  When her boss denies her vacation time, she wants to change everything and do something with her life.
Paul is a bicycle courier and delivers the tickets of the Ahron Records Masquerade Ball to her.
These tickets are the hottest in town, as the ball's invitation list includes only A-list celebrities.
Ingrid offers him to give the tickets if he can make her list of New Year Resolutions come true.  Paul tries everything to get the tickets.
Ingrid and Paul tick off her New Year's Resolutions list thanks to Paul's creative help.
It was the most heartwarming part of the movie.  This story was touching, and was one of the highlights of this film.

Hilary Swank will play a producer of the famed Times Square New Year's Eve show. Ashton Kutcher will play a guy who hates New Year's Eve.

もし、「バレンタインズデー」または「ラヴアクチュアリー」が好きなら、楽しめる映画です。この映画はゲイリーマーシャル監督のロマチックコメディ。監督は2003年に「バレンタインズデー」を制作しています。「バレンタインズデー」の続編のように見えますが、正確にはそうではありません。映画は8組の男女のニューヨークでの大晦日の出来事を描いています。物語は大晦日、それぞれ並行して進みますが、どの話も深夜12時のタイムズスクエアで年に一度行われるボールドロップという行事を絡めています。
特に気に入ったのはイングリッド（ミッシェル・ファイファー）とポール（ザック・エフロン）の物語。イングリッドは50そこそこのアーロンレコードで働く秘書。ボスに休暇申請を却下され、それをきっかけに全てを変えたい、人生で何かをやりたいと決心します。一方、ポールは自転車を使った宅配業者、彼女にそのレコード会社主催の盛大なパーティのチケットを配達します。
そのチケットはセレブが集まるパーティで手に入らない貴重なチケット。イングリッドは彼に「もし新年の誓いリストに載せた事柄を実行させてくれるならチケットを譲る」と持ちかけます。ポールはそのチケット欲しさに彼女の目標を叶えるため全力を尽くします。
彼らはポールの創造的な企画のおかげでその新年の誓いリストに一つずつチェックを入れることができるわけです。とても心温まる話で感動的、この映画のハイライトとも言えるでしょう。

英語学習の記録をつけてみる

英語学習の記録をとることで、客観的に自分の学習を見つめ、進捗をチェックし、モチベーションアップに繋がると盛んに言われるようになりました。

今流行りの英語学習の「見える化」ですね。

本当に英語力アップに繋がるのか? まずは記録をつけてみることにしました。

いろいろなツールが出ています。今まで試してみたものは

・Studylog

・英語学習1000時間クエスト

・Twitstudy

他にもDAYTUMやGoogleカレンダーで記録という方法もあるようです。

また、SlimTimer、Togglも出来るようです。（自分では試していません）

もちろん、自分のノートやダイアリーにつける方が良いという人もいるでしょう。

それぞれ自分にあった方法を見つけるのが一番です。

その数あるツールで私が今回選んだのはLangFolioです。

その理由は

・入力し易かった

・ビジュアル的に綺麗で見ていて楽しい⇒これ大事

・スマホ（iPhone4)から入力でき、外出先でも記録できる

・Twitterとの連携

・CSVファイルへ書き出し・バックアップができる　(Dropboxアカウントが必要)

まずは記録をつけてみて、自分の英語力が伸びるか試してみたいと思います。
